OBJECTIVE: To Crush It and exceed client expectations during the onboarding process by leading the cleanup and implementation of bookkeeping processes.

A Day in the Life
  • Diagnostic 
    1. Participate in the Diagnostic Process, including meeting with the client to gain a holistic understanding of current accounting-related processes and debriefing with the Onboarding Accountant on onboarding and spring cleaning projects.

    Onboarding

    1. Accounts Payable – Execute on onboarding plan, including rolling out new processes and systems accordingly. Processing vendor invoices and payments to keep files current.
    2. Accounts Receivable- Execute on onboarding plan, including rolling out new processes and systems accordingly. Processing payments to keep files current.
    3. Bank Feed/Credit Card Feed- Execute on onboarding plan, including rolling out new processes and systems accordingly. Processing feeds to clear out old transactions and completing reconciliations 
    4. DEXT- Execute on onboarding plan, including rolling out new processes and systems accordingly. Implementation of rules and processing invoices.
    5. Lighthouse- Set up of supplier rules and supplier page
    6. Creation of P&Ps such as accounts payable, Dext, Plooto or client specific 3rd party payment apps, bank and credit card reconciliations and other P&Ps as required 
    7. In collaboration with the Ongoing Controller, ensure Onboarding is complete within the agreed upon timeframe with client. 

  • Special Projects

    1. Collaborate on special projects as required,  including operating and/or accounting system conversions. 

    Company Collaboration

    1. Participate in company meetings and planning sessions as required, owning and delivering on assigned “rock(s)” 
    2. Participate in GS&Rs
    3. Participate in Bookkeeper L10s, focused on continuous improvement and/or new technologies
What You Bring to the Table
  • 5+ years of bookkeeper experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communicator
  • Proven experience providing exceptional service to the client base
  • Private home office and all necessary tools to work remotely.
