Careers at Shift

Before the rest of the world was forced into remote work, Shift was already there.

Don’t worry – you won’t get lonely. Shift is a collaborative, connected team on a shared mission to turn accounting from being a source of pain to a source of power for entrepreneurs. We work hard and we have fun doing it!

Shift was founded on the vision of every team member living their lives by design. We want our team members to be hyper passionate about their careers, and to also achieve other goals and objectives. To support this vision, Shift offers:

• Flexible work schedules. Yes, we have to be available for standard or client meetings, but when you conduct the “behind the scenes” work is totally up to you. Want to hit the gym in the middle of the day? Go for it! You’re a night owl who does their best work by candlelight at 1:00am? Totally your call (although we’d suggest better lighting.)
• Bi-weekly 1-on-1s to share your goals with your team leader. We will do everything we can to try to help you achieve your goals!
• Uncapped paid time off. Need a day off? Take it. Need a couple of weeks off? Take it. We just ask that you adhere to our Time Off Procedure to ensure resources are in place and no critical tasks or deadlines get missed for our awesome clients.

If You’re Not Learning, You’re Not Growing
Shift provides opportunities for continuous learning, including education events and team training. We even include up to 1 hour of verifiable PD hours every month!

We take the time to connect frequently with each other and with our clients. Internally, we host:

• Semi-weekly company huddles to share good news, shout-outs, company updates, and a forum to put up your hand if you’re just feeling stuck.
• Weekly project and EOS L10 meetings* to collaborate and ensure projects stay on track. (We are deadline-driven people!)
